Frequently Asked Questions
What is the statute of limitations on tax debt?
The IRS has up to 10 years to do whatever it can to collect any money you may owe them. However, waiting for 10 years and hoping your problem will go away is not recommended, and the sooner you act, the sooner we may be able to fix your tax problem.
Can I settle my tax debt for less than what I owe?
It is possible that our firm may be able to help you qualify for penalty abatement or an Offer In Compromise. Contact us directly to discuss your case.
Can you represent me even if I don’t live in Fort Lauderdale?
Our office represents clients all over the state of Florida and nationwide. If you have a tax issue, contact us to see how we may be able to help.
Will I go to jail for not filing my taxes?
The IRS can file criminal charges for unpaid taxes, but most often, the IRS prefers to negotiate with taxpayers to find a way to collect the money they are owed. Our firm can analyze your case and suggest the best course of action to resolve your tax issues voluntarily and avoid serious consequences.
